Packaging of tobacco products

The packaging of tobacco products – cigarettes, cigars or fine-cut tobacco – is made in accordance with the highest packaging standards.

In compliance with the latest government guidelines, combined health warnings must be displayed on all packages and bundles of tobacco products intended for smoking.

The labelling of unit packets and multipacks, as well as the tobacco product itself, must not contain any element or solution that promotes or encourages the consumption of tobacco products in a way the packaging of tobacco must bear the general warning “Smoking kills – quit now” or “Smoking kills” or “Tobacco smoke contains more than 70 cancer-causing substances.” To ensure that the deterrent images and the appropriate text are printed on the product, it is very important that the quality is good, which is made possible by the right printing technology, so that the deterrent marketing is properly applied. In addition, the general warning should take up 50% of the surface area. Packaging will also be affected by the fact that after 2021, tobacco products will have to be packaged in a single package, with only the brand name really visible, and all previous marketing elements will be gone. Cigarette packs already have many mandatory elements that have nothing to do with the brand. In addition to health warnings, there is the single-use plastic logo that must be included.
