Stühmer Corfu slice: Space chocolate
One of the truly remarkable success stories in Hungarian packaging technology has reached a new chapter: the packaging of “Space Chocolate” designed by Sipospack — which has literally traveled through outer space — received recognition at the 42nd Hungaropack awards ceremony organized by the National Association of Packaging and Material Handling.
This award not only recognizes the design of the packaging, but also the values behind it: innovation, cooperation, and Hungarian design creativity. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Stühmer Chocolate Factory, and it was no ordinary undertaking: a product was designed that started in Hungary and ended up in space.

Not just part of a spectacular campaign
What makes the “Space Chocolate” project particularly interesting is that it is not just a spectacular campaign, but also faced engineering and design challenges that were crucial – starting with hydrogen bottle packaging, it required durable materials, precise design, and the use of innovative technologies.
It offers new opportunities
The Hungaropack award not only brought national recognition to Űrcsoki, but also created an opportunity to enter the project into the WorldStar international packaging competition. WorldStar is an international competition organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO), which is only open to solutions that have won awards at the national level. The Hungarian packaging competition, Hungaropack, organized by CSAOSZ, serves precisely this purpose: to showcase domestic developments on the international stage.
