Uniform, recyclable packaging in the food industry – on the path to a sustainable future
Following Western European trends, there is a growing demand in the food industry for uniform, recyclable packaging.
The green transformation of the packaging industry
An approach based on the principles of the circular economy is no longer just an environmental issue, but also essential from a business perspective. The great advantage of packaging materials made from homogeneous (mono) materials is that they are easier to recycle than multi-component laminates, thus significantly reducing the industry’s ecological footprint. For several years, Sipospack has been committed to developing recyclable, homogeneous packaging materials that meet the high quality and safety requirements of the food industry. The goal is to create solutions that are not only sustainable but also efficient in manufacturing and logistics processes.

Sipos DoyPEpack® – innovation and sustainability go hand in hand
Sipospack’s latest development, Sipos DoyPEpack®, is a Doypack packaging made of mono polyethylene (PE) material, which guarantees the freshness and safety of packaged products with its high sealing capacity and excellent weldability. The product is not only recyclable, but also durable and flexible, making it an ideal choice for online store deliveries, where packaging must withstand the stresses of transport. DoyPEpack® is particularly recommended for packaging larger quantities of dry and powdery products, such as protein and flour-based mixes, collagen powder, and pet food. It performs excellently for packages weighing over 500 grams, where the packaging must be mechanically stable, securely sealable, and environmentally friendly.
Sustainable production with solar energy and a circular approach
For Sipospack, sustainability is not only a key issue in the finished product, but also in the manufacturing process. Renewable solar energy is used in the production of DoyPEpack®, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of manufacturing. Technological waste generated during production is regranulated and reused for packaging secondary products – so nothing goes to waste and all raw materials are given a new lease of life. The company believes that true innovation can only be achieved with a cohesive, professionally trained team. With this in mind, they work every day to offer their partners forward-looking, sustainable packaging solutions that serve both the environment and market needs.
