Sipospack Kft. expanded its Sóskút warehouse and production line by 3,000 square meters, thus creating five new jobs. At the same time, new machines were purchased and put into operation. Among other things, a regranulator. What can this machine do?
The purpose of the packaging is to protect the product inside. Not only from contamination, but also from air humidity and damage during transport. But the packaging not only protects the product, but also provides a lot of information about it. On the other hand, a plastic label as part of the packaging or packaging itself is not garbage, but waste that can be recycled. Grape sugar bag, mineral water label, just to highlight two examples out of many. If we collect these and put them in the regranulator machine, we do not burden the environment with them as garbage, but can reuse them. How?
What goes into a regranulator?
As a packaging manufacturer, Sipospack Kft. processes a lot of polyethylene and polypropylene. However, a by-product is also formed during production. Even without leaving the plant, it can enter the regranulator cleanly!
What does granulation mean?
Granulation means that during the process, the waste entering the machine is first crushed, then heated and melted. During the process, the fused materials are separated into particles of suitable size, classified and sorted. This technique has long been used by the pharmaceutical industry, fertilizer production, the plastics industry, and packaging technology, and from now on Sipospack Kft. as well.
The granules collected in the container can be reused. For example, it can be used to make an excellent ZIP sealing tape for the Doypack bagging machine launched two years ago.
Re-value from waste, regranulation with solar energy
Sipospack Kft. operates most of its machines, including the regranulator, with solar energy. Environmental awareness is not only important during production, but also when it comes to energy consumption.
That is why alternative energy sources are used: solar panels, biomass boilers. Environmental awareness is one of the cornerstones of Sipospack Kft.’s strategy.
